Renovations and expansions of existing buildings modernized school libraries with enlarged, better equipped centralized spaces and resources. It was era of progress. Schools were employing multimedia resources at both elementary and secondary levels, increasing budgets for printed resources, and improving training for professional, para-professional and clerical staff to provide services to students and teachers.
